I’m having a problem rendering out footage with Trapcode Shine. It seems to randomly “turn off” when I RAM Preview or Render the comp. If I render the same comp twice, the drop out will happen in different places each time, although every time it is for 1 frame. This happens if Shine is applied to a footage layer or a solid layer, no difference.

I am still using 8.0 (I think there has been an update out recently that I have yet to download) could this be the problem? I hesitate to update since I am in the middle of several projects at the moment.

I have been using this set up for several months and I haven’t had one problem until this week. The only thing that has changed has been that I installed Light Factory, but I wouldn’t think that would be a problem.

i fyou haven’t tried edit>purge>all, i would give that a go prior to render. if that doesn’t help, i’d shutdown for a few moments, reboot then try again.

this sounds like one of those times when a computer just starts misbehaving and purging ram or shutting it down helps clear things out.

other things that can produce unexpected results are some of the cc time effects, they seem to get flakey sometimes… usually purging ram helps there too.

I’m having a similar problem with Shine. I’ve trouble shot it a bit. It will render in AfterEffects if I render using progressive. But whenever I try to render interlaced, it won’t render.

I’m going to do some more testing to see if I can narrow this down further.
