Problem records when up-converting
Our show is a 720p (FOX SPORTS is 720p). I need to make a separate record for the international edit in 1080i. I have been recording the international show using a KiPro desktop or a FCP Laptop system using an IO-HD. Both systems up-convert and record fine. I purchased a new KiPro rack mount and it will not do the up-convert. It keeps looping the first 5 seconds, over & over. I contacted tech support and they sent me a new machine. The same thing happened on the new machine. Once again, I contacted tech support & they set up a machine on their end. The same think happened to them. It is a software bug on the rack mount. He offered to swap out a desktop model but I decided I could swap systems in my edit trailer to work around the problem. He assured me that it would be looked at and fixed in the next software release. It has been 5 months and no fix yet. Are you guys looking into this?
