Problem re-opening old job
I have an old, delivered project, but we’re re-delivering one act for creative reasons. Most of it is the same shots, just in a different order – so I don’t want to re-grade the entire act.
I call up the old project (or rather a copy of the old project) and point to the media folder-
– which has a slightly different path after being restored from archive. The media reconnects fine on the ‘media’ page, and on the ‘color’ page, but the project locks up when I go to the ‘conform’ page (beach ball of death.) Since I need to use the conform page to import the revised XML to conform the re-arranged clips.. . any idea why I might be locking up on the conform page? Any clues appreciated.

I’d just create new project then use color trace to copy grades.

I was hoping to avoid re-rendering media – but at this point that’s probably WAY quicker than all the screwing around I’ve done to try and solve this anyway. Thanks for the idea- should work.
