Problem Premiere and Decklink HD Extreme

Hello everyone

I work on my 2. Film witch is a bigger documentori project with 4 Terra of 5d (h264) and other mat. For this i chanche from final cut to premiere, because off the nativly workflow. The idee is to cut with premiere and make colorkorection with davinci on the same edit place. For this i work on a mac pro 12 core, with a radeon hd 5770, for gpu nvidia 4000 and for the extern monitor there is a decklink kart hd extrem, it`s like from blackmagic for the davinci recommendet.
i am happi with the premiere and there is no problem with edit the canon material, i can also edit with one monitor for the programm and use the second for preview and the timeline and it works. But when i try to send a sygnal (pal to my old pvm sony monitor) over the delink cart, and choose in the playersettings the blackmagig card, i got a picture on the monitor but when i play the video or run the timeline the programm sudenly quit. I try it with h264 alsou with just hdv mat. and it`s allways the same.

I am not a postproduktion pro because work on me ouwne projekt as camera, producer etc… so maybe i just make e stupid mestake and maybe i am little bit naiv because off buying stuff companies recomendet.

So my question are:

1. Have someone a idee what coud be the problem with the decklinl cart? I have to choose the blackmagic cart as player i think? No?

2. I bought the nvidia quatro because for the davinci is recomendet as a GPU cart and use radeon as Gui, also the delink cart for en externel monitor, but for editing with premiere the quatro just gives me extra power (cuda) when i use it as my GUI cart and hang my monitor on it?

Thanks maybee i make some wrong thinkings or spend to mutsch time with technical whould be nice, i will start to edit like it works now but hope the get the houl stuff running with the time.

Hello Heinz,

Was your Premiere sequence built from a Blackmagic Preset?

If by any chance it isn’t ––

You can create a new sequence from the available Blackmagic presets. Use one that is a appropriate for your material, then from your previously edited sequence, select all and copy, then go to the new BM sequence and paste.

I am new to Premiere (a FCP switcher) so I could be way off base.
