  • Problem, Linking Media to Merged Clips

–I couldn’t find anything on the forum regarding this problem. Sorry, if I am posting on a matter, that has been addressed already several times.

In PP CS5.5, I synchronized picture from R3D files to audio from wave files and created merged clips. My media went off line during a mishap. Now when I try to link the media back to these merged clips, I am unable to get both audio and picture back. How can I link these merged clips to two different sources (picture & audio)?

    Hi Luis,

That’s a long shot… and could be very time consuming.

I would import both the old audio and video, then inside the timeline, Alt-click on each audio and video clip and use “Replace with clip” from the project panel. The problem, I’m guessing, is that the length on the merged clip doesn’t match the originals.

I’ll try that when I get back. Thanks.
