    Hi,

I’m having a lot of trouble installing the HD plug in for Premiere Pro. I keep getting the following message:
‘The updater cannot find Premiere Pro 1.5 in c:\Program files\Adobe\Premiere Pro\

The page where I downloaded it from https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2654 says ‘Follow the onscreen instructions. If the updater reports that it cannot find the application to update, please reinstall Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and then run the 1.5.1 updater again’.

I’ve tried this 5 times now, and still I get this message. My program files folder lists it as just Premiere Pro and not Premiere Pro 1.5. could this be the problem ?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

If you have the original Premiere Pro (shows as version 7 in the Help/About screen) then you can not upgrade for free. You must buy version 1.5 before you upgrade to 1.5.1 – but at this point you would be better off upgrading to version 2.0

Yep, Version 7. What a bastard. I’ve just recently ordered serios magic ‘Ultra 2’ which has a HD plug in, will that enable me to edit (once captured) with my version of premiere pro ?

    Thanks Steve.

    I doubt it.
