problem installing Final Cut Pro Studio 3
The DVD/CD drive on my macbook pro is on the fritz.
I just bought and need to install FCP Studio 3 onto it but the drive won’t read the install disc.
On someone elses computer, I transferred the install files off the discs onto my portable hard drive. When I try to open the install file it says “the alias ‘install Final Cut Studio’ can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.”
How do I get around this?

YOu need to make DISK IMAGES of the installer disks. THen mount them all on your computer. I do this as I tend to reinstall quite often.
