    hi,
I’ll try to be as brief as possible. When I start playing my clips in the timeline everything is ok.But after 1 or 2 clips the audio comes faster than the video. If I start to play from that clip they match again but only for this first clip. After that the same thing happens. When I put the censor on the timeline and guide it over the clips, video and audio seem to be syncrhonised. But when I play them again nothing. And when I try to synchronise them by adding filler in the audio sequence,I only manage to synchronise the first clip, but the rest keep losing their syncrhonization.I also think that as the movie plays on in the timeline the clips gradually lose their synchronization by more and more frames,

    Pan,
At first thought, it seems like a dropframe/non-dropframe issue. Was your audio recorded separate from the video? If so, maybe one is in DF and the other NDF. Check your audio & video timecodes to see if they are the same. Does the amount of sync offset drift gradually off or is it sudden and steady or varies edit to edit? If it’s a slow building drift, I would say it’s probably a DF/NDF timecode issue.

    Hi Chaz,
and thank you for the advices.Yes, the amount of sync offset does drift gradually off,but the video and audio were captured together from a DV cam and they have the same timecode.I don’t know if there’s sthng wrong with the capture settings, because I tested capturing from other tapes too, and I saw the same thing happening again,
    any other suggestions?

Posting your system specs would go a long way towards identifying your problem. Things like video card, OS, Avid version, RAM…
