  • Problem importing TIFF files into Premiere

Posted by Martha Shane on August 25, 2015 at 8:25 pm

    Hi,

I’m working on a project in Premiere Pro that has a lot of still photographs that were scanned. I’ve imported the TIFF files into Premiere, but they aren’t appearing correctly. Here’s an example of how it looks.

Any help on how to fix this would be hugely appreciated–thanks!

    best,
    Martha

Have they been saved with an RGB 8-bit colorspace, or CMYK? Check one in Photoshop and see.

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

Some of the ones that aren’t working in Premiere have this description:

    Color space: RGB
    Color profile: Adobe RGB (1998)
    Alpha channel: Yes

    And then others are this:

    Color space: RGB
    Color profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
    Alpha channel: No

So definitely RGB, but not sure if the color profile could make a difference?

    Thanks!
