Had some problems some months back regarding some quicktime
issues, downloaded and installed the latest version of
Direct X and everything was ok.
Not sure if this would help you, but as your system is messing
with you, throw something unexpected back at it….lol.

Some ProRes files for some reason will not import if the source is an external drive. You might try copying it to an internal drive.

I hate to post this here when I just did in my own thread, but is there a way to render Avid DNxHD to 720×486 in Vegas?

    Steve

finally found time to look into the DirectX issue you mentioned. I have directX 11 and understand that to the the latest version. So the problem still persists, and now I need to revisit the edit and again can’t get that ProRes to import into Vegas 11.

    Any other ideas?
