    Problem Importing Illustrator File – Adds borders around edge of imported illustrator file.
    I tried hiding the artboard while in illustrator and it got rid of it in Illustrator but not in Cinema 4D…

    any ideas??

    C4D uses Illustrators origin, which is the lower left corner for where it will put the axis of splines you import. Move the splines so the Illustrator origin is where you want the axis to be in C4D

    sorry I did not understand your response. I know about Illustrators zero point. And I changed it to the middle of the graphic. Could that have something to do with it? Please re-explain? I’m confused

    if you know about the origin and moved it, I don’t know. Can you post the .ai file?

    the little icon on the far right, when you are composing a message (the micro-floppy icon) is the upload a file link. It takes you through uploading the file and at the end gives you a link which you copy and paste into the message.

    If you open your file in Illustrator and view it in outline mode, you’ll see that you have a spline around the outside of the logo. Just select those points and delete them.

    You could do the same thing in Cinema, of course.
