First, excuse my english, it is not very good but better thant the translation made by the site.

Ok, I’ve capture an 58 min. HDV films with premiere, no problem, no missing image. If i listen to the film with, for example, windows media player, everything’s fine.

Then I import the file into Premiere, that’s where it all mess up. The sound is definately not synchro with image. I got error message saying that there was a problem with mpeg codec flux and that some red images have been inserted, wich is probably the reason of the synch. problem.

I have tried a lot of things, re capture, re import nothing seem’s to be working. One time, I have restart the whole process and it use to work correctly, but not for tha following tries…

Getting close to throw computer by window…

Try reseting the Project properties., ie HDV is Pal or NSTC, it runs at the right speed ie., frames per second either 25 fps or 30fps.

You should not have to render the clips, but, if there is a red line above timeline needs to go to green. But, may not effect audio.

Good luck !!!!!!We use a Canon HV20 which is HDV (PAL) 25fps and there are no problems with sound in Premiere Pro. We have found the sound is somtimes dodgy out os sync using mov.H.264 files out of a Canon EOS 5D mark II which was running at 30fps, Canon have changed this now by Firmware 2.0.4 to run at 25fps.

Try changing Speed/Duration on some clips and Tick “Maintain Pitch”

Adobe suggest if you have a problem close down the computer. Restart, Capture HDV into Project window, move
    >. to Timeline >.Edit > Save. Check timeline is in sync> if Ok. Export.> To Movie or To Tape or DVD or Blu-ray Do not go anywhere near Window Media Player. We work in 1920 x 1080 HD and experience no problems in Premiere Pro but do not use Windows Media Player.

    Good luck !
