  Problem exporting widescreen video from Vegas Pro 8.0c

  Hello,
  I have a problem exporting a video from Sony Vegas Pro 8.

  In the projet, I have 2 video tracks – upper one is AVI, lower one MPEG2, both vids were shot as 16:9

  When I try to export the video as AVI, using “PAL Widesreen” option, the lower track (MPEG2) is slower and the motion is slow too (if I try to watch it in any media player). But the upper trak plays all right.

  I found out it was beause of the option “FIELD ORDER”. If I leave it on “Lower field first”, then the lower track (MPEG2) is slow. When using “Upper field first”, then the result is the same but for upper trak (AVI). Of course I tried even the 3rd option – “None (progressive scan)” in this case both videos are smooth, but the quality is terrible and you can see stripes like in the old TV with low resolution.

  I’m desperate – can you help me how to set the options so I will have a widescreen PAL video in AVI format with smooth motion in both tracks and in a good quality? I need to finish this vid asap but this export thing is holding me back.

  P.S using classical PAL AVI format is good – video is nice and smooth, but it is 4:3 format, which is useless for me
