  Problem editing to tape with JVC DV 6000 deck

  I’m having trouble editing to tape (not print to tape)in FCP. I set the in point in the edit to tape screen and when I try to do the edit to tape, the deck pre-rolls normally and when it gets to the in point, instead of interting or assembling the timeline, it simply goes into play mode.

  I’ve checked to make sure that the record tab in the tape isn’t moved and poked around the menus on the deck – but nothing is pooping out at me. I don’t think it’s a problem with FCP since I can insert/assemble to my BetaSP without any problem.

  The config that we are using is:

  FCP 5
  AJA IO Box – using 9 pin control

  Any thoughts on a hidden menu of “feature” on this JVC deck would be much appreciated!
