  • Problem “editing original” from Premiere to Audition

Hello all. I’m using Audition 1.5.

Recently, I’ve had to reformat my HDD. Prior to doing this, whenever I would use the “edit original” function in Premiere Pro 1.5, Audition would open and open up the audio file which is being asked to edit.

However, after reformatting and returning my system back to a usable state, Audition no longer opens up the audio file after using the ‘edit original’ function in Premiere. Audition DOES open itself, but does not open the audio file. I have to go hunt for the file and open it manually.

Also, when doing this, Audition opens in multiple windows. It did not act this way prior to my reformatting. Is there some settings I’m overlooking? I’ve looked around in Audition’s program settings, but cannot find any related settings.

    Thanks much for any help!

    Hey Damein,
In Audition 1.5 there’s one configuration to make:

Go to Options>Settings>Data and check the “Embed Project Link data for Edit Original functionality” check box.

    Hope that helps

I tried that, but it still doesn’t work correctly.

I’m wondering if there’s some hidden setting in Premiere…
