  • Problem capturing DVX100A 24P advanced mode footage

Posted by Morgan Barnard on April 11, 2005 at 5:49 pm

I’m using a Panasonic AGDV1000 to capture 24P Advance mode footage shot on a Panasonic DVX100A. I am using the advance pulldown removal capture setting. During batch capture from time to time I get an error saying “Breaks in VFR/Pulldown Cadence were deteced in (clip name)”. I tried adjusting the outpoint of my clip to come before where the error occured, but it stll happens, this time at a different place. I have already captured several tapes with this only happening once before, but recaptured fine. This time it seems to not want to capture prop[erly. As far as I know I am not digitizing over any camera cuts. and the TC is on record run-regen, so there are no timecode breaks in the tape.
Anyway this is my first time using the advanced pulldown removal so any suggestions/comments would be helpful.

    thank you

I ran into this problem a couple of times when I was capturing from my DVX100A camcorder directly into FCP HD. If I remember correctly I had to manually capture that particluar clip. I hope I’m breaking any rules, but DVXuser.com is where most of the DVX gurus are. It’s where I get answers for the camera, everything else I get over here.
