I am not sure that this be the proper forum, but it seemed like the best….

I have a tape from a client that they shot on DVCAM and the audio is recorded at 48 mode and not 32. There is about 1 minute of video at the front of the tape that is in 32 mode, and I can capture it fine on my DSR45, but as soon as they switched to 48, my deck stops playing it.

What is weird is that I can capture other tapes at 48k no problem. Maybe there is something else that they changed that I cannot tell? The screen just turns black and timecode stops moving.

Does anyone know what I can do to be able to make it play back and capture?

    Thank you.

Do not capture the 32k and 48k at the same time. Choose the appropriate preset 32 or 48 for the corresponding capture.

Remember to allow for pre-roll and post-roll.
