  • Problem addapting to cs4 from premiere pro – video layers

    Hello all,

I recently upgraded from premiere pro 2.0 to cs4.
I’m having trouble when I’m working with the video layers, In premiere pro i could select a file and then use the keyboard shortcut to place a dissolve and it affected the video.
In the cs4 it affects all the layers that are enabled, causing me quite a mess.
If I’ll work with the entire layers disabled and enable each one that i want to work with, it will cause me tremendous time loss.
Is there a way around this silly “upgrade” or am i missing something? Some better working method?

    Thanks in advance,
    Eli.

The alternative is to drag and drop the transition effect only to the clip you wish affected, from the video transitions in the effects palette.

You can make keyboard short cuts for Toggle target video or audio.
