I have two video tracks in use. In the first track I have footage of a lemon-tree field shot out a car window. In the second video track I have a static picture depicting lots of lemons. What I want to do is have the picture fade in with the video slowly, so that as the trees whizz by the lemons make themselves seen gradually. The image should never take over the shot, it should remain barely seen.

This seems like it should be a very simple shot to edit, but if you don’t know what tools/settings to use it becomes impossible.

    Many thanks.

You can do this easily with your opacity settings

Wow, how obvious. Very silly of me. Thanks a lot for the help!
