Probably a dumb question……but it’s really bugging me
Posted by Gsp on December 19, 2005 at 4:14 pmWhen I lasso clips in my timeline to move them down, for some odd reason only every other clip moves. Am i in some kind of ripple mode that I don’t know about? My work around is having to copy and paste the clips which sucks. Thanks for your help.

December 19, 2005 at 4:52 pmI had this problem when I first upgraded to FCP5. First I trashed my prefs, it eventually came back so I updated and it went away.

December 19, 2005 at 6:22 pmFigured out it was a currupt sequence. I took all of my cut and placed them into a new sequence and everything was fine. Thanks for the replies.

December 19, 2005 at 7:13 pmBTW Greg if you have a lot of clips in the timeline you want to select all foward from a certain point there is a tool to do that so you dont have to lasso them all. It is the “tracks foward” tool You can select it by hitting “T” on the keyboard or select it in the tool palette, 3rd tool down. There are 5 different versions of it depending on whether you want to select foward or backward from a certain point and whether you want all tracks selected or just the one you click on. It’s a very useful feature that saves lots of time in big sequences.

December 20, 2005 at 3:51 pmThanks Frank,
I use the tracks tool frequently. Even using that tool the problem that I was having was still there. Thanks for the help though.
