“ProApps Quicktime Codecs” V. 1.0 update… using FCP7 do it or no?

I use FCP7 and had no problems until I upgraded Apple ProApps Codecs with their confusing message in fine print for FCPX. Now I get “out of memory” messages when trying to do the simplest renders on the timeline. Does anyone know if there’s a way to reload the earlier version of ProApps Codecs and where to find it?
