Proanimator Plug-In Renderer Issue
I’m looking for some insight into what I could do to solve a never-ending render using the AE Plugin side of PA 5.0.8 (CS6 Creative Cloud). The project is a stack of monitors and scaffolding (created from some primitives). Inside standalone or the PA Plug-in interface it renders in less than 3secs typically.
Inside AE I get an never-ending flash of repeated render bars blasting away below the comp window (as if rendering 1000s of small assets). I can view the render at 720p, but in a 1080p comp it just “pretends to render a view” for hours. I run w/ 26gigs of RAM. I’ve also checked RAM avail to AE (using the PREFS -> MEMORY & MULTIPROCESSING -> DETAILS) and have an abundant supply of memory available, atleast 15gigs+ at any given time.
Note that I also get the beloved “AE Needs 2 or more frames” error when trying to do a RAM preview. The frustrating thing is I would gladly do this in Standalone if I wasn’t using the AE cam and Layer Maps :/
Other solutions I’ve tried incl reinstalling, saving the PA scene and reloading it into an empty AE project w/ only a single solid for the plugin, as well as disabling lights, AE cam, shadows, etc.
Any help would greatly be appriciated!
