ProAnimator crashes AE
I was editing some 3d type inside a previously saved After Effects project (CS3 8.0, System 10.4.9, QT 7.1.6).
I clicked on the ProAnimator button in the Effects window and called up my text.
I then went back to After Effects — without closing out the ProAnimator window.
Suddenly, none of the menus would work.
All I could do was quit. It asked me to Save, I clicked yes — and After Effects crashed.
So I “Force Quit” out, restarted my Mac, then tried to open the project again.
The file would not open — I got a dialog box saying “After Effects crashed while invoking the plug-in Pro Animator.
I noticed in the Finder window, a new file was created — the name of my AE projects_1 or _2, etc. One for every crash.
I open another project — no problem.
I created another piece of 3d type, saved and reopened the file — no problem.
Is my original After Effects project trashed, or is there a way to salvage it?
