Has anyone shot at 60fps using a pro35 on a HPX 2000? Does it look to much like video? I’m considering shooting 60fps so I can get smooth slo-mo in post but do not want such a “video” look. I’m hoping the adaptor will help give it more of a film look with the oscillating glass. Any comments welcomed.

    Thanks
    Bobby

The adaptor wouldn’t have any effect on the ‘film look’ other than giving you shallower depth of field. Should be fine.

Thanks Noah, but I’m still wondering if shooting at 60fps with give all of my footage a “video” super clean look because I’m really trying to avoid that.
    Thanks

If you are overcranking to 60fps, then your footage will play back at 24fps in 2.5x slomo. The footage is still playing at 24fps –it looks the same as any other stuff you might shoot at 24p– except it is slomo. One thing you might want to test is if the oscillating ground glass shows up when shooting at 60fps.

720p60 with a pro35 will still look like 720p60, and that is like video. If you need 720p60 for slow motion on a 24p shoot, then you will need to adjust the shutter speed to give you more motion blur. Hope that makes sense.
