I just completed a re-edit on a previously finish infomerical and I am now ready to bounce an OMF to my audio guy for sweetening. The problem is, I cut the new pieces into the old master show which had mixed audio. My engineer has the original session but can’t seem to get to me any file that preserves all 8 channels individually. I’d love to just dig in the old master w/ split audio, but of course none exists, so this is the only way. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can export an audio file w/ the 8 channels from pro tools that an Avid will accept. I know this might seem like an easy question, but I’m an Avid guy and have no knowledge of Pro Tools. Apparently neither does my audio engineer.

    Thanks for the help.

I may have misunderstood the question, again, I’m an avid guy not protools but why not…

export the protools session as an omf, and just suck this back to your avid and sync up to the old spot.

If he can’t omf he should be able to blow each track/pair out as wavs,
if the protools session isn’t that complicated then a last resort is a session back up on protools which will save all elements within a single folder
