Pro Titler
When I attempt to add a drop shadow to a Pro titler title created by cloning an existing item nothing happens. Additionally my lettering frequently goes grey without my wanting it to do so!
I find the user interface a little quirky, so it’s entirely possible that I’m missing something here and would be grateful for advice. I find the standard Vegas titler’s interface fine..

Why don’t you just enable Drop Shadow under the Effects tab in Pro Type?

Would that it were so simple! No, drop shadow is enabled [see screen dump:
]. Something odd seems to have happened here to “freeze” the title.Other examples seem to function normally, so it looks as though I’ll have to rework the set of titles.

I guess it may be a resolution issue, but in your screen grab, I don’t see how the drop shadow is configured. Click the arrow to the left of Drop Shadow and play with the offsets for x and y axis as well as blur.

Your screen capture shows that Drop Shadow is checked but you don’t have it open so that we can see what the offset is set to. It is totally possible that the drop shadow is there and just under the top text. What do your settings say?

Thanks to both of you for your help: this seems to have been some weird one-off glitch,- I began with fresh titles and all was well. Something seems to have gone wrong when I cloned an existing title.
