Pro Res won’t work out of Premiere CS6 even after I’ve installed compressor
I’m new to premiere comming from FCP7 and I’m really not getting it’s export settings. Nothing too desirable in this candy box to me yet. I want to be able to export a nice master, that isn’t so large that its unplayable. ProRes completely fits the bill for this, so I’ve installed compressor to get the Pro-Res elements, I’ve downloaded the Pro-res preset group, but I’m still getting this error that stops me from exporting anything in Pro Res:
Incompatible Video Codec found in the Prest. Preset load failed.
Does anyone either know how to solve this problem? do i have to re-install premiere AFTER compressor has been installed?
If nobody knows, is there a setting that is good for mastering my 5K epic footage? The easiest method right now is to use the native sequence settings which are in MPEG format, but I don’t know if thats master quality or not.
Thanks!
