Pro Res Sync Issue

My clips seem to come in fine and capture fine, but when I put them on a timeline they are out of sync. They were shot with a Sanyo Xacti 640 x 480 @ 60 fps, 48 kz. They capture at 59.94 fps. I set my timeline at 48kz and now all clips are at 48 kz also. Originally I had one clip on the timeline at 44.1 kz. Is this the problem?
