    Hi

I’ve just exported a ProRes sequence from FCP (originally imported / edited ProRes from HDV 1440 50i footage).

The exported .mov plays fine on my Mac and I’ve been able to send the FCP sequence to Compressor / DVD SP and make good DVD’s.

My problem is that the ProRes QT will not play on anything other than my Mac.

When I’ve tried to bring it into MPEG Streamclip or similar to convert it to H264 I keep getting error messages about missing files (Title of my Video followed by 000000f4).

Going back into FCP to export H264 directly from there is taking longer than I’d like so if I can avoid that option I’d like to.

Any ideas what’s going on here?

    Thanks in advance.

You exported a reference movie from FC.
In the export window, click “Make self-contained”.

Reference movies are like a play list of the original media or the rendered files. Without them, the movie won’t play.

Well that makes sense but it’s also something I know very well, ‘Make movie self-contained’ must have been unchecked and I didn’t notice! User Error! Thanks Rafael.
