PCIe expansion slot is setup properly?

Call AJA? Something is not right with your setup.

Have the latest drivers…everything else with my FCP works just fine. I have a call in to AJA.

Anything else I can try in the mean time?

HI, Matt – I had the same problem with ProRes HQ and discovered one problem – although not a solution. Every 21 -23 frames there is a duplicate frame and then it skips one frame, so it in effect stutters. I am still trying to figure this out.

    For example: These are the frames: 1 2 3 3 5 6 7 8

    Best, Connie

What format and frame rate was this footage shot from and what deck are you capturing from?

This is a hardware issue, Prores needs a huge amount of horsepower and if the RAM, CPU, GPU and storage are not fast enough in combination your will get dropped frames.

in the digital world – the OS / NLE will hold a frame until the signal stabilizes your dupe frame is most likely that- and means your setup is not meeting the requirements for capture.

    Hi. Here is my setup:
3 gig 8 core Mac Pro – 8 gigs ram (tried it with just 2 gigs – no difference)
Kona 3 card – latest drivers from website.
e sata raid – 160 MB write and 176 mb read on AJA System Test
Cal Digit fasta-4e raid adapter card
FCS – latest update. Tried it before and after latest update, and before and after QT 7.02 update.
JH-3 deck. – Anyone have problems with this deck?

Should be fast and big enough.Just doesn’t make sense to me.
    Thanks, Connie

    Sorry dude

    I am at a loss…

    try 2 things-

turn off the Time Synchronization (this has been know to cause drop frames)
    turn off your network connection

I am really sorry to have to ask this question, and I might sound silly for doing it but,

Are you sure it’s not just 3:2 pulldown?

…and you have also run the Expansion Slot Utlity.app and selected option 2?
