    Hello

    I have this sequenced bmps that play for 5 seconds. I have tested it in quicktime and it plays perfectly.

    I import the file of 168 sequenced bmps into pro and then it reads them as 1 fps and I cannot change it..if I drag the file into the timeline it create something like 25,200 frames and the sequence plays for 15 seconds..what I am doing wrong? Thank you.

    Try this;
    right click on the file in the Project Window and choose “Interpret Footage” and select “Assume this frame rate” and set it to 30 fps. Then drag it to the timeline.

    Thank you for your reply..however it will not allow me to change the frame rate in the project window or on the timeline etc..the file folder consists only of 168 bmp files but again premiere pro will not allow me to make changes..please advise…it has a frame rate of 1 fps selected and will not let me change that.

    Thank you.

    OK, I misunderstood you, thinking you had a video file and not 168 photos. Before you import them choose; Edit>Preferences>General and change the default still image duration to 150 frames. Then reimport your stills.

    Okay I did that (it was already like that) and still have same problem. When I drag it to the timeline it shows 169 stills in sequenced bmps but then if I render work area will create 25,200 frames for a total running time of 14 minutes instead of 5 seoncs. Please advise and thank you again.

    [jack halsey] “When I drag it to the timeline”

    This is what is confusing about your posts…what is “it”?

    Oh, I wasnt clear. Sorry.

    It refers to the folder containg the 168 sequenced bmps.

    What you need to do is set Still Image Default Duration to 1 frame. Then, you have to re-import your folder of still images to play back at the correct speed.

    So you want 168 pics to play in 5 seconds? Set your Still Duration Preference to 1 frame.
