Pro crashing during export to DVD
Hi all,
Anyone else come across this? Pro begins transcoding the project ( whilst exporting to DVD ), then around the half way point Pro freezes up. Becoming very annoying. I can export to WMA format, then convert, then burn but thats the long way of doing it and Pro should do this ???
Any ideas ?? HELP ???

If your using 1.5, make sure you have the 1.51 update.

WMA is an audio format. Is there a reason why you are exporting to WMA as compared to any other format? What source material are you using? (ie: what type of footage are you trying to burn to DVD?)

I am creating a movie from film captured from my DV camera. As Pro won’t play ball and export the finished project to DVD directly, I’ve found that I can export using Adobe Media Encoder, creating a film in WMA format using the encoder, then converting it to DVD format ( VOB files ) using Canopus then burning it to DVD using Nero.
BUt this is a slow, long winded way to do it. Is there a better way ?( other than direct as this just won’t work!! – or is there a fix ???)

Version 7 had many bugs, but you should be able to export as Mpeg 2 (DVD) and use that file for Nero…better picture than going thru WMV and quicker.
