But John insinuated that registered users would at some point receive an e-mail with a lower upgrade price, so we should wait and keep an eye out for that, right?

Log into your Sony account, click on “My Software”, scroll down to “Upgrades”, click on “Upgrade to Vegas Pro 10 from Vegas”, click “Buy Now” (ignore the $239.95 price) and you’ll see the $139.95 price.

Am I the only one not seeing it?

Or was it perhaps a temporary typo on their site, and they have fixed it?

Or check your mail: I received already two e-mails from Sony with the offer…(would that mean two times 100$ reduction???)

Yeah, I just purchased it today and it crashes whenever I try to open my projects. I went back to 9c (9e crashed with my projects as well).
I contacted Sony with all the specs, but doubt I’ll ever hear back from them.
I’d suggest people wait until there’s more feedback about 10. I’m definitely not a happy camper…

I am downloading it now. I am sure they will eventually straighten the bugs out (whether sooner or later)…and a $139.00 introductory price is hard to beat.

Mike, I’ve been on several Vegas forums almost all day long and yours is the first post I’ve seen about crashing on Pro 10.

I have yet to get the email from Sony, but following the link from Mike appears to be sufficient once I login as myself and enter a qualifying serial number…

Looking to upgrade to 10, but had a question on installation. I run Vegas 8 on both a laptop and a desktop (never simultaneously. In the past I used a hard copy CD for installing on both machines. How would I do that if I chose to “download” the product instead of taking the “reduced packaging” option?

    Thanks in advance.

    Marlen
