  • pro 10: how to render a video file to smaller size?

Posted by Rick Moore on December 17, 2011 at 9:43 pm

I’m using pro 10 and am trying to save a video file but it ends up being 5-20 gigs each time.
the actual movie is only 700Mg AVI
I adjusted some of the sound and went to render it and keep getting these Huge file sizes.
Question: how do I render an AVI movie so it is the same size as the original? as in 700MG? (1 gig is fine also)
I’ll convert it to DVD format in a different program when I decide to burn it.
I’m just trying to save it right now.
    Thank You

It’s huge because you’re rendering it in uncompressed format.
If the original video came from a camcorder, use either the NTSC DV or NTSC DV Widescreen options.
