  • Priority Settings for Spline Dynamics

    Hello,

I’ve been messing around with spline dynamics and priority settings and I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. I’m basically attaching a dynamic spline to a dynamic object, then adding an xpresso tag to each and altering the priority there. Is that the correct way to go about this? Or is there anything further I have to do in Xpresso? Any info you could provide would be great.

    Best,

    Dan

Spline Dynamics tag priority can be set directly in the tag’s Basic tab but Dynamics is fixed to Generators/400 internally, you set Spline Dynamics priority higher or lower than the Dynamics priority to get what you want. What are you trying to do?

    Hi Brian,

Basically I’m connecting a spline with a spline dynamics and constrain tag to a dynamic object. So in this case a cord that attaches to a microphone. The cord tends to lag a little bit after the dynamics of the microphone. So basically I’m trying to mess with the priorities to see if I can get the spline dynamics to be in sync with the rigid body.

Any info you can provide would be great.

    Best,

    Dan
