I’m trying to print to video my DV footage I shot on my Sony Fx-1 (which was in DV mode at the time). For some reason it shows video on my camera from final cut right before I print to video (insinuating that the connection between camera and computer is working). And then when I print to Video, the sound appears on the camera, but the video footage does not.
    Any suggestions?
    These are my settings:
    Sequence Preset=DV NTSC 48 KHz
    Capture Preset=DV NTSC 48 kHz
    Device control Preset=FireWire NTSC
    Video Playback=Apple FireWire NTSC (720 X 480)
    Audio playback=FIreWire DV

    Thanks!

Have you tried selecting easy setup then try to print to tape?

Have you tried deleting your fcp preferences and restarting making sure you turn on your camera first before you turn on your system?
If you play your timeline can you hear and see your video if yes you could always just crash your time line to tape?
Before you print to tape check your audio video settings a/v devices check your different output for print to video box.
    Hope this helps.

I’m having the same trouble. Trying to print to video using a Sony DCR VX 2000 with standard firewire connection.

I can see and hear the timeline playback on the camera (though the video only displays whatever frame you’ve stopped at; won’t actually playback).

When I try “print to video” i hear, but see nothing, and only the audio is recorded.

    Any advice?
