  • Primary scratch disks not set resulting in a case of the greenies

Part of my edit suite has had it’s mac partitions formatted resulting in erasing primary scratch disks from FCP. When i boot up FCP i get the warning signs then the green screens, not a problem i think. I set the scratch disks and reload the sequence and everything is back on track…….HOWEVER, one of my students decided to quit FCP before i had chance to reach him and reset the scratch. Now when i try to boot up FCP i get as far as the external device warning, click continue then…nothing. FCP just quits without any opportunity to reset the scratch disks or anything. The student can log onto another Mac and use FCP and other students can log on and work on the original mac, but the original student cannot use FCP on that mac that he quit on.

Any additional info then please let me know.

    Thanks in advance

    Dan,

Have you tried trashing the prefs?

    Have a wonderful day.
