When I quit out of a fully rendered project and reopen Premiere all the previews are missing. And the project says that most of the media is missing. The media that is missing is in a layetr that is below a Layer that contains a borris effect.

If I move a layer or change any atribuate The media reappears and I can Render.
As the problem is only below borris effects, I believe that the issue is something to do with that interaction. However, Borris say upgrade, bla bla, it’s not our fault

I am losing lots of time with this issue, can anyone suggest a fix?

I am Using CS3 on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 intel core 2 Quad 2.4 GHZ with 3.25 gig of Ram

    Regards
    Patrick

A few others have been the victim of this bug. In my case I believe it was because I had clips using “reverse speed”, which somehow causes this.

Before I foud this out (from Eddie Lotter) I started a new project…so I’m not sure if just deleting those clips or taking off the reverse speed will fix your project, but it’s worth a try.

Thank you, I will Try that suggestion and report back,
However what do you do if you need to revrerse a scene
Something else that I noticed, If I save the project, close it, re-open renders gone. However if I close the project keep Premiere open and start a Brand new project, and import the recently closed project, into my new premiere project, this time the renders are still there. However with the new project, if I close the Application or Crash the renders revert to being missing

    Thanks

You can use Time Remapping or Timewarp for your reverse clips.

I don’t think there’s a way to fix the un-rendering issue though, if the importing of a project into a new one doesn’t work…or removing the time reverse from the clip that may be causing you problems.

Fortunately for me, my renders weren’t too intensive, so it was about 3 minutes each time I re-opened (before I rebuilt my project in an older version of the project).
