Previewing Video
I just captured video for the first time using Avid Media Composer (Academic Version). When I captured the video, and when I play the video in both my source and record monitor the color is wrong. It looks like the magenta has been taken out. When I pause or stop the video it goes back to its normal color.
Is there a preference somewhere to change this? How can preview my video as it should look?

Your OS should be 10.5.5, and QT should be 7.5.5. The readme for 3.1.1 is HERE:
You should either upgrade to MC 3.5 or roll back your OS.

I just got this program a couple months ago, do you know if AVID has any deals for the upgrade since I just bought it?

I’m not sure. I’d contact a reseller and see what they say (or contact Avid directly)…
