This is something that has been frustrating me for over a month now.

On the copy of AE CS at work an option has been unchecked, or something in the preferences has been changed.

No longer am I able to preview scaling or opacities or anything else that involves inputing a numeric value.

I often will scale by eye, resizing an object until it fits the size I need, then I will note its’ numeric value.

However, now, I have to pick arbitrary numeric values and then go “well it needs to go bigger.” So it is now a very shot in the dark process.

Could someone PLEASE tell me what to do to get this back the way it was. I scowered the net looking for the answer, and could not find it, so I posted the question here.

    Thankyou.

IIRC, this is the second time we’ve had that Q here in the past 30 days.

What I’m curious with is why no one has mentioned having issues with the Always Preview This View button at the extreme left of the comp panel. This button is ridiculously misleading as it is actually a project-level setting found within a comp level area of the general interface. You would think that it would be better placed within the project panel.

Anyone else experienced hair loss with this button?

    Cheers

Thank you for a quick response and solution to my problem.

I apologise that I did not find this already posted when I searched before making this thread.

    Thanks again!
