  • Previewing audio, without losing point on timeline help

Posted by Brian Mclean on March 22, 2008 at 2:39 pm

My problem is when I try to preview audio on my timeline i want the play head to stop so i can find the spot on timeline and add a marker . However when i hit stop it brings me back to the to the wrong spot. (the playhead does not actually move when i preview so when i am done previewing it jumps back to the playhead.)

There must be a way to stop my audio preview on the timeline.
    help anyone?

I haven’t found a way to do that. I don’t think it’s possible to stop the CTI (current-time indicator) in place, when previewing audio.

So I recommend you add markers on the fly, while playing, with the * key on the numeric keypad. Also, have the waveform open (LL) for the audio layer.
