preview split screen color match bug in VP 12
I have been using Vegas pro since V. 7 and have used the preview split screen feature to match colors. But in Vegas 12, build 486, when I try to match a color to the image I saved on the clipboard, the entire preview screen turns to a bright orange. This never happened in previous versions. Is anyone else getting this bug in this version or am I missing something?

Well I just uninstalled VP 12 build 486 (latest) and went back to the previous build (394), and now the split screen feature is again working fine. I had previously uninstalled and reinstalled build 486 to see if it had somehow corrupted on my computer, but the split screen never worked properly. So there is probably a bug in that version. Wondering if I should report it to Sony …

Frank, I also encountered the same issue you mention with “split screen” using Vegas 12, build 486. I reported it Sony several days ago.

Thanks, Michael. After a couple of back-and-forths with Vegas support, they stated that this is now a known issue, and will be addressed in future builds. In the meantime, I’m sticking with the old build, where the split screen works fine.

I also had a couple of back and forth discussions with SCS and they just responded with “this is now a know issue that will be addressed in a future update”.
I am still working with version 12 486, so my work around for now is to use the trimmer window for comparisons as needed. Of course it will be nice to regain the normal function of this feature.
