  • Preview repeats after 30 frames

Posted by Lenny Ng on November 24, 2012 at 9:07 am

When I try to play my video through the preview window it plays about 30 frames then loops back to where it started playing, and keeps repeating those 30 frames over and over again instead of playing the rest of the video. This happens even after pre-rendering (shift-b). This project needs to be completed soon so any help is much appreciated.

    Windows 7
    Vegas Pro 12.0
Also I have 12gb’s of ram and set dynamic preview ram to 5gb’s instead of 200mbs, but the preview did work after I did that, until now it doesn’t work. :/

Sounds like you’ve inadvertently made a 30 Frame Time-line Selection?

…and have Loop playback selected, which plays only the events in the Loop region in a continuous mode?

This is my first time using Vegas, so I’m not sure how to fix that. But it keeps doing the 30 frame repeat thing no matter what part of the video I start on. It also does this if I have no part, or the entire video selected with the little yellow flags.

Thats indeed weird if you dont have anything selected
    on the timeline.
