Preview pane (SVS10)
Posted by Sherry Thompson on February 24, 2011 at 2:56 pmI pulled the preview pane down to enlarge it and covered up my video play, stop, etc. bar at the bottom of the screen. I can’t raise the screen back up. I thought closing the program would work, but it didn’t. I guess I should have hit “undo”. How do I get the screen back? (SVS10)
Thanks!
Sherry

February 24, 2011 at 3:13 pmGrab the top of it, drag it to the desired location (usually the top right of your screen) and let go.
It should snap back into position for you. -

February 24, 2011 at 3:17 pmWhat is “SVS”? Is that Vegas Movie Studio (which I would have thought would be “VMS”)
If you have Movie Studio you should be able to drag the preview window out of the docking area and then resize it accordingly. Grab the 6 vertical dots in the upper left corner:
Here is an example of undocking a window:
If you have Vegas Pro you can use View | Windows Layouts | Default Layout to get back to the default window layout.

February 24, 2011 at 3:23 pmYou can do the same default layout trick in Movie Studio 10… presumably in 9 also.

February 24, 2011 at 3:37 pmJust tried dragging the bottom edge of the docked preview window down as far as possible. This covers up the status bar, transport controls… and you lose the draggable window border too so it becomes impossible to resize (and it’s not hidden under the Windows start bar either). The only way out is to restore the default layout from the menu.

February 24, 2011 at 3:42 pmThanks, I didn’t know if the Movie Studio version had the View Layout options. I thought that might be a Pro feature only. That’s definitely the best way to fix this problem.
