    hi all,
previewing a PPRO 1.5 project connecting by Firewire -> D/A -> TV I’ve noticed that the PC audio is out of sync in comparison with the TV video.
Yes…I know, if I use the TV audio it’s in perfcet sync, but the problem is: monitoring preview only by TV ( audio and video) if I decide( for example ) to make a cut in a particular point end so I stop the preview, the cursor on the timeline doesn’t match the point I’ve seen and decided on tv. How can I solve this problem ?
In Sony vegas this problem does not exist.
    Can anyone help me?
    Sigh

From the adobe PPRO 1.5 manual: There can be a slight delay between the playback on the desktop and the playback on a television via a camcorder/VCR. If the video and audio seem out of sync, try to preview both video and audio through the same device.
Sigh….any possibility to fix this bug ?

Is your audio being routed through the D/A too? May sound like a daft question but so many times this has been raised to find that the audio had been taken from the soundcard direct.

Adding additional processing will always give rise to the possibility of sync issues.

Some applications get around this by adding an offset to the DV output and this is usually controllable by the end user.

Sony Vegas has an off set sync A/V dv control, but without changing the default setup, it works perfectly, I can’t understand the stupid behaviour of PPRO 1.5…it sounds like a bug.

Seems a simple a solution here, if Vegas works for you it, why don’t you use it ?
