    Hi,

When I go to log and capture my preview id DISABLED. I can’t figure out how to get it back. someone suggested that I trash the FCP preferences. I don’t know where to finr the FCP preferences I did a search and came up with nothing.

    Anybody?

    Hey Normco,
First of all, you should still see your picture in the video monitor as you log, no matter if preview in the L&C window is disabled or not, so it would be a “good thing” to work with a video monitor (a TV set if you don’t have the dough) connected in your FCP setup. Many people do not, and really should.

Second, if you have a deck/camcorder and a FireWire drive daisy chained, you are subject to this happening to you again – so if you don’t separate the two devices to separate buses via a PCI card or PCMCIA card – you’ll have to continually trash prefs when this happens again. This doesn’t happen on my system, I’m assuming, because my devices are on separate buses.
