Preview and Insert Grayed out???
I’m trying to dump back to tape viw firewire on my DSR-45 like I’ve done so many times before, but this time I cannot preview or insert to tape only assemble. When I try to do an assemble, it rewinds to my in point and prints the end TC on my stripped tape. Any ideas? I’m in a real bind.

Insert editing via Firewire isn’t supported by most DV decks. You can insert on a DSR1500 and above using RS-422.

When you get right down to it, “Insert editing” isn’t supported by many DV decks AT ALL.
That goes for the DSR-45… it does NOT insert.
