Prevent overlap when adding to timeline
When I add a clip to the timeline in between 2 clips, one of the clips end up being overlapped by default. How do I set it up so that – I can add a clip to the timeline, and it will shift all the clips to the right until it fits in ?

turn on Ripple Edit (CTRL + L) before you drop the media on the timeline.
good idea to turn it off again – leaving it on can be confusing if you’re not used to it
also, there are 3 kinds of ripple – look it up in the help file
