  PreSonus Studio 192 question

  I am a big fan of PreSonus equipment. I currently own a FireStudio Project, AudioBox 44VSL, as well as other PreSonus items.

  I’m looking to possibly upgrade to the Studio 192 or Studio 192 mobile. Here’s the big question:

  with my FireStudio Project, I can run through the interface without it synced to a computer, and it delivers the signal to outboard gear just fine (preprogrammed left channels go to left, right to right, separated stereo pair mixes, etc…)
  with 44VSL not synced, all channels go out as a mono sum mix. How does the PreSonus 192 or 192 Mobile behave when it’s not synced to a computer?

  I’m looking for a good interface that can also function, if need be, as a standalone preamp for live recordings.
