    Hello,
In After Effects once you have an effect they way you like it you can save those settings as a preset.
Is that possible in FCP? I have some bad footage from a green screen shoot and I have the Keying and Color Correcting to as good as I am going to get. I do have to tweak the settings but the baseline I have been working with is a great start. Is there a faster way to automate this work-flow without have to set each filter from scratch?

    Thanks

Yep, you can save your filter presets to your project or to any place really.

From the Filters Tab in the Viewer….

Drag the Filter Name to your Browser. I usually create a Bin called “Filters and FX” for this purpose.

    Repeat for any other filter.

Now when you want to apply that filter to another clip, simply drag from the Browser to the clip.

I think I figured it out.

Just in case a newbie like me stumbles on this post:

Open your corrected clip in the viewer. You can drag the filters to the browser. I have three people I have been fixing. I added a folder to each persons bin called “Filters” and dragged the filters to the new bin.

Open your uncorrected clip in the viewer and drag the filters from the bin into the filter tab.

Experts – If I am wrong or there is a more efficient way. Please let me know. And once again from all of us learning as we make these stupid mistakes. Thanks for all you do and all your time and efforts. 🙂
